It has been 7 years since the Grammy’s have had an official host.  Since 2008, LL Cool J has been the host of “The Grammy Nominations Live – Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night.”  Now, the hip hop legend has been given hosting duties for the actual Grammy awards show.  Here’s what he had to say:

“I’m thrilled to be part of Music’s Biggest Night. I will always have fond memories of my first Grammys Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true.”

The 54th annual Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles on February 12th at 8pm ET/PT on CBS, featuring performances from Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Jason Aldean, Foo Fighters, and more.
