Although many didn’t recognize his talent until he broke out during the 2012 World Cup with his anthem “Wavin’ Flag,” K’naan has been creating brilliant, poetic music since the release of “The Dusty Foot Philospher.”  K’naan followed that release with his more popular album “Troubadour.”  Born and raised in Somalia during the Somali Civil War, K’naan has experienced the hardship that makes for brilliant artistic expression.  He is the most honest rappers we’ve ever heard.  It comes as great news today that K’naan has made plans to release a new 5-track EP titled “More Beautiful Than Silence.”  The EP will feature guest appearances from Nas on the track “Nothing To Lose” and Nelly Furtado on “Is Anybody Out There.”  The EP is set to release on January 31st and will be released exclusively on iTunes and Amazon as a digital EP.  Tracklist below.  January 31st will be a great day for music.
