Portugal. The Man (no, I didn’t mistakenly put that period there), the eclectic psychedelic rock group from Wasilla, Alaska is all set to drop their new album “In The Mountain, In The Clouds” on the 19th. The band has released 6 albums before this, all on smaller labels and all to high praise. Don’t expect this album to be any different. The guys even made a 13-minute movie starring their lead singer John Gourley,and released it on IFC featuring two new songs (“Got It All” and “Sleepless”) off their new album. Portugal. The Man has some of the best lyrics and one of the most unique sounds in music, so check ‘em out. After streaming the album a few times, I can tell you it is not a let down. Some tracks that stuck out to me were “So American” and “Senseless.” Below you will find said movie, along with some songs off their previous albums.
