The long awaited reunion of two musical powerhouses, MIKE13 and BD, arrives with the same massive talent and brilliant music that we all fell in love with from the beginning of their journey. MIKE 13, a musician, producer, and guitarist, has references including but not limited to: DJ Premier, Joe Budden, Kanye West, DMC, DJ Khaled, Nas, Justice League, NCIS, NCIS: LA, True Blood, Pauley Perrette, and The Game. Add BD, a masterful lyricist, frontman, and performer formerly signed to Cash Money, and you get this music classic.

Together, MIKE 13 & BD have released The Dream That Was Too Big To Fail, “a blend of hip hop, rock, reggae, and pop that combines the brilliant lyrics and voice of BD with the virtuoso multi-faceted instrumental music production and compositon of renowned producer/guitarist MIKE 13.” The duo, along with their album, will be featured in next month’s Rolling Stone. The London electronica duo AlunaGeorge debuted a new track online, “Just a Touch.” The song really exemplifies how talented the group is, with a catchy beat over singer Aluna Francis’s sensual vocals and additive lyrics. Music Brings Life Back Into A Silent Old Man In A Nursing Home

Don’t ever doubt the power of music. This video is a testament to how the art can figuratively bring someone back to life. This elderly man could barely communicate, living depressed in a Nursing Home with his head constantly down. The man is given an iPod playing music from his era, and his responses are vibrant and full of life. He even starts to sing at one point, and his voice is pretty good.
