Just yesterday, Facebook launched a new service called “Listen With” that allows you to listen to and share music with friends in a chatroom.  Users get to “DJ” by choosing which songs to stream via services like Spotify or Rdio.  Facebook continues to take large steps to integrate music into their social network.  Their first big development was a partnership with Spotify.  Now that there is a source for all the music, Facebook’s “Listen With” service will strive to connect people’s listening experiences, even when they may be miles apart.  As Facebook put it in their blog post, “When your favorite vocal part comes in you can experience it together, just like when you’re jamming out at a performance or dance club.”  The new service will be slowly deployed over the next week or so.  To find it, look for the music notes in your sidebar where you normally get notifcations of what people are listening to.  Then you will see a button that says “Listen with ____.”  If the concept of chatroom music sharing sounds familiar to you, you’re right.  Mashable reports that the new service is much like Turntable.fm.  If you end up using Facebook’s “Listen With,” let us know what you think of it.
